Owen Powell is greatly committed in leading a team that strives to excel in its mission. Afterearning a Bachelor of Science from the United State Military Academy (USMA ’04), Mr. Powell served in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer for over five years, and he continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve. Mr. Powell received numerous awards and medals while serving in the 3-504 Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), 1-508 PIR and 4-73 CAV RECON of the 82nd Airborne Division. His experience includes leading three different platoons for a total of 25 months, 7 months as an Executive Officer and 9 months as a S4 (Logistics Officer). Mr. Powell has participated in OIF III (Iraq) and OEF VIII (Afghanistan) with a total of 20 months of combat experience. Mr. Powell is dedicated to serving the military, U.S. and Afghan governments and looks forward to contributing to the continued success in Afghanistan.

Matthew Mulrine – (Senior Operations Manager, OEF-A)
Matthew Mulrine received his Bachelor of Arts from the United States Military Academy (USMA ’04). Mr. Mulrine has Platoon Leader experience at Ft. Polk, LA and contracting work experience at Veritiss dating over 18 months. He has many friends, family and associates, who are either serving in Afghanistan now or have served there in the past. Christopher Scott – (Assistant Operations Manager, OEF-A)
Christopher Scott is dedicated to excellence. He takes pride serving both the people of the United States and Afghanistan. Mr. Scott has served honorably in the U.S. Army as an infantry squad leader and instructor at FT. Myer as part of the 3rd United States Infantry Regiment “The Old Guard”. For a period of more than four years, he has received many awards for effectively leading, training, and managing over 500 personnel. Mr. Scott has a great devotion in his work and hopes to contribute to the continued success in Afghanistan. Mr. Scott is very proud to be a part of such highly regarded company that genuinely cares about the wellbeing of its employees at home, linguists overseas, and their families.

Marie Voisey - (Director of Human Resources)
Marie Voisey takes pride in providing a high level of customer service to all our linguists and employees at Veritiss. She served in the U.S. Army as a Cryptologic Linguist and speaks multiple languages including Farsi/Dari. Additionally, Ms. Voisey spent several years in Afghanistan, where she managed and supervised over 250 OEF-A linguists in theater. Thus, because of her experiences, she understands what linguists require overseas and is fully committed to providing them unconditional support. Ms. Voisey holds an Associate Degree in Linguistics from the Department of Defense, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, and is currently finalizing her MBA from American Military University in Global Business Management.

David Seal has over twenty-two years of national service with the U.S. Army. His professional background is highlighted with numerous assignments as a recruiter, station commander, first sergeant, and master trainer. Moreover, Mr. Seal has great experience in working with other cultures by having served tours of duty in Germany, Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, he dedicated twelve years of his military career to recruiting for the 1st Recruiting BDE. Mr. Seal is eager to bring the most highly qualified Afghan linguists on board to support the OEF-A mission.
Karen Barajas is committed to helping the linguists and their families. As a human rights advocate, she looks forward to seeing Afghanistan and its people prosper as a nation. With her personal and legal experience, she holds a vast knowledge of the U.S. immigration system and knows how to navigate it. Ms. Barajas has worked on national public policy at the National Immigration Law Center and on legal matters at Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services in Washington, DC. While in law school, Ms. Barajas represented clients in the International Human Rights Law Clinic in an array of cases, ranging from asylum to U.S. Naturalization. Ms. Barajas holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs (Princeton ’06) and a Juris Doctor from American University – Washington College of Law (JD ’09).Mustafa Taheeri - (Lead Recruiter, OEF-A)
Mustafa Taheeri came to the United States in 2001 escaping the ravages of war which has obliterated his country for more than 25 years in an attempt to pursue his dreams of prosperity. Upon his employment with Veritiss, Mustafa progressed quickly to take on the role of a team leader as a result of his ability to execute his strong leadership skills. Along with a foundation in business management, Mustafa is currently further pursuing his education in the field of Criminal Justice. Mustafa’s professional strengths include extensive and keen cultural awareness of Middle East and an ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings. Mustafa is fluent in Farsi and Pashto and possess familiarity with the Hindi and Urdu languages.
